A Pilates Program for Runners
Saturday, May 10th, 2025
Want to improve your running mechanics?
Is your running practice slowing down due to the wear and tear?
Curious about how Pilates can support your running?
This program is for you!
This program aims to help you become a better runner by introducing you to Pilates or deepening your understanding of how Pilates exercise can improve your overall coordination, strength, durability and ultimately athletic performance specific to running.
This program is open to runners with and without Pilates experience and includes a two hour workshop and two personalized in-studio Pilates sessions with Erin.
Presented by Erin McCormick, Washington Cross Country Coaches Association’s Cross Country Coach of the year 2016 and 2019. She has coached multiple individual state champions as well as multiple state championship cross country and track teams.

During your personalized Pilates sessions we’ll spend some time analyzing your running video, discussing your specific mechanics and goals, and then ultimately developing a program of exercises to put into practice in the studio and at home.
During the workshop Erin will present on the general aspects of running mechanics — body position, coordination, rhythm and how to project yourself effectively and efficiently through space. She will also lead you through a group workout and spend time practicing details important to runners.
You will walk away from this program not only understanding more about running in general but also with an experience of bio-mechanical concepts in your own body and with specific exercises to support your running practice.
