For Pilates Teachers Looking for
Inspiration and Revitalization, Aspiring Pilates Teachers & Enthusiasts Seeking
a Better Understanding of the Pilates Method.
Each immersive weekend event ramps up over four days making it easier to digest all of the information. Always loads of fun, there are lots of Pilates workouts, and time to make connections and build community.
The Atlas Pilates Curriculum Seminar Cycle is designed to support an ongoing layered relationship with the Pilates system through study, practice, observation, and participation. These seminars explore how to teach Pilates as a living system designed to help people develop themselves through movement, concentration, coordination, and self-awareness.
We aim to create a learning environment that invites engagement, curiosity, structure, responsibility, and joy in the work. Participants travel from around the world to attend these annual seminars because they provide a rich form of Pilates education grounded in the comprehensive system with real bodies and real teaching. Our mixed-level learning environment is central to the experience, as more experienced teachers can probe with greater depth and clarity, while newer teachers and students bring curiosity, fresh perspectives and a beginner’s mindset. This approach grounds seasoned teachers in their clients’ challenges, while allowing aspiring teachers to absorb layers of material, confident that deeper understanding will unfold over time.
Across the seminar cycle, participants explore the curriculum using Pilates apparatus while deepening their understanding of principles, teaching skills, embodiment, and whole-body development.
Autumn: Fundamentals
October 15th-18th, 2026
Thurs Oct 15 1:00-2:30 PM
Pilates Lab with Lori Coleman-Brown
$125 Max 10
The Pilates Lab is a space to practice, experiment, observe, and learn through doing. Participants move through their own Pilates practice while Lori circulates through the room offering feedback, touch, guidance, and individualized support. We then come together to study the living application of Pilates principles through the real work that unfolded in the room. Using actual moments, bodies, and exercises, we’ll explore the deeper intelligence behind the answer experienced teachers know well: “It depends.” The goal is not better rule-following, but expanding our ability to perceive, reason, and respond.
Fri Oct 16 3:00-5:00 PM
Autumn Workshop: Primed To Learn
$150.00 Max 35
Presented by Erin McCormick
Teacher training is a unique and temporary phase, but it lays the foundation for an entire teaching career. Primed to Learn explores the perspectives and practices that help apprentices develop strong foundational teaching skills during their comprehensive teacher training programs — from learning exercises, positioning, safeties, and systems of organization that underpin the higher-level teaching skills of critical thinking, responsiveness, and decision-making.
This workshop looks at how learning actually works: how we use our different memory systems, repetition, embodiment, and layered skill development to move information from conscious effort into embodied understanding and more automatic skill. We will explore how to develop effective learning practices, intentionally investigate gaps, and stay open to the learning process.

$150.00 Max 35

Joseph Pilates said to “Know thyself,” and he reminded us that true mastery starts with something as simple and profound as learning how to breathe properly. Progressing to Advanced isn’t just about doing more faster, it’s about applying the method to yourself so you discover the unique benefits of each exercise.
In this workshop, you will develop the confidence to go inward and the patience to build deep self-knowledge. Together, we will dig deeper into the foundation you already have, finding hidden value and insights from the information you already know, in order to demystify the work and unlock your personal advancement.

Advanced Curriculum Seminar: Expanding Capacity and Choice
Presented by Lori Coleman-Brown
$675 Max 35
The Advanced Seminar introduces advanced Pilates material through selected exercises, themes, and variations from the classical system. Rather than covering every exercise, we study chosen examples thoroughly, giving participants a layered approach to how they are done, taught, and related to the interconnected Pilates system.
Designed for teachers and practitioners of various experience levels, this seminar focuses on the training needed to build safety, structure, control, and readiness for rigorous work. We will also explore the teaching behind the training: why we choose an exercise, how we prepare a client, what we look for, and when we adjust.
Participants will practice advanced material on the major apparatus, learning to identify key shapes, skills, supports, and progressions to build confidence, clarity, and respect for the work as part of a system that develops awareness, strength, power, endurance, and intelligent choice.
