April 27th & 28th, 2024
Presented by Lori Coleman-Brown
The Pilates Advanced Seminar provides essential techniques for building a Pilates practice that is compelling, supportive, balanced, sustainable and progressive for a lifetime.

In our Advanced Seminar, we’ll explore the advanced material and how it can be woven into complete programs for individuals. We’ll analyze the exercises, discuss the goals for each exercise and look closely at how the advanced exercises are related to previous skills learned in Fundamentals and Intermediate.

We’ll work on increased awareness, balance, and control, and learn techniques to develop power, endurance and release in proportion to what the body needs.
See, do, and observe the advanced curriculum list of Pilates exercises and principles on all apparatus that we have found to be the most useful to propel practitioners progress.
Watch, explore and practice the wide range of teaching techniques for advanced exercises including handholds for support, breakdowns for inhibition that keep people in their healthy work zones, modifications for access, and enhancements that help practitioners excel.
Discuss Pilates philosophy with focus on relating exercises and programs to function and usefulness in daily life. Pilates helps people. We don’t sacrifice ourselves to do exercises perfectly.
Practice cultivating healthy balanced exercise habits, standard alignments, posture, muscular actions, and rhythms in order to assist and challenge bodies in action.
