Kim Hamilton

Classical Pilates Instructor in Seattle

Kim was hooked from the moment she discovered Pilates as a student at Western Washington University. Following that spark after graduation, she decided to turn her passion into a career, training under Lori Coleman-Brown at Pilates Seattle International and completing the Romana’s Pilates comprehensive training program in 2007.

Her arrival at Atlas Pilates feels like a homecoming, following nearly twenty continuous years of teaching classical Pilates at respected Puget Sound programs, including the Seattle Athletic Club, The Workshop in Edmonds, and Mercer Island Pilates. Over the years, she has worked with clients of all backgrounds—ranging from ages 7 to 90—helping each person build a deeper connection to their body through the Pilates system.

One of the many important things that Pilates has taught me is how to breathe fully and properly.
Breath is life!

-Kim

A natural fit for our staff, Kim has long been part of our extended community as a dedicated student in our lessons, workshops, and continuing education programs. Intelligent, patient, and deeply committed to the work, she takes an artful and graceful approach to every session and every body she teaches.

Outside the Studio:
Fun fact…Kim is our only teacher who lives on the Eastside. The new light rail line across the world’s longest floating bridge now makes her commute to the city a breeze. When she isn’t in the studio, Kim enjoys long walks, hiking and sightseeing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and spending time with friends, family, and her “fur-baby”, Rocco.
