Atlas Pilates instruction continues the life’s work of Joseph H. Pilates. In our studio, the method is taught in the same way Pilates trained his own clients, and passed down from “Pilates Elders” Romana Kryzanowska and Jay Grimes. Traditional Pilates instruction is focused on strengthening and stretching the whole body without aggravating existing injuries or causing new ones. It is more realistic and injury-sensitive than you’ll see on late-night infomercials. Our methods are fully informed and regularly refreshed by the remarkable practitioners who have been rebuilding and re-conditioning professional dancers, athletes and models for more than 60 years.
