The Shoulder Girdle

Our arms are connected to a ring above our ribcages called the shoulder girdle. What comprises it? Which joints are involved? And what motions are available? How is the shoulder girdle affected by various postures, and how does this affect the use of the arms? Shoulder health requires coordination, stretch and strength do perform the simplest reach for a glass of champagne to weight bearing for pushups and handstands. Shoulders can seem like a mystery.
